Welcome to Kazakhstan - The land of most expensive DSL connection in the world
Naveen | Jul 30 2007

I must thank all the BornRich readers for making it one of the top-notch luxury blogs on the web. And yes, thanks to Internet also that has infact made it possible. Fine...let’s come to the point. We are all accessing internet from our homes, offices, and cyber cafes. While some are lucky enough to enjoy cheap internet connections, some of us are paying a lot for it. But, what if I tell you that it will set you back $3,355 per month for a 1.5Mbps DSL connection. You may not be able to digest the fact but it does happen in Kazakhstan. If you are looking for a 6Mbps cable connection in the country, it will cost you $22,032. Surfing internet is no doubt meant for the uber-rich only in Kazakhstan. I am paying around $200 for a 4Mbps/512Kbs unlimited DSL connection and thought I am being charged too high...Lolz. Thank Heavens, I don’t live in Kazakhstan!
