Vertu adds Damascus Steel to its Ascent Ti collection
Naveen | Jun 6 2009

Nokia’s luxury division Vertu has now added a new phone to its popular Ascent Ti collection, and it’s named Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel. Built using an “ancient steel forging” technique that increases the strength and hardness of the metal, the Ti Damascus Steel comes hand-etched. The same technique has been used to make Samurai swords and Indian Wootz swords, and this clearly explains the phone’s sturdy make. Technical specification remain the same as for all the Ascent Ti phones, including a QVGA display, S40 UI, GSM/UMTS connectivity, a 3.2MP camera with LED flash and 4GB of internal memory. Only 100 units of the Ascent Ti Damascus Steel will be made available through Vertu stores.
