The special edition black leather Gravity chairs have been designed and signed by Scandinavian designer Peter Opsvik himself. This is the very first time Varier is releasing a limited edition chair. The chair bears a special metal name plate and it comes with Opsviks’s latest book “Rethinking Sitting.” The GRAVITY balans recliner enriches the sitter with extreme relaxation for mind, spirit and body. It’s like getting very close to zero gravity. The Limited Edition Gravity balans is available in 5 fabrics, 4 woods and over 250 colors, including many kid-friendly colors. Since the GRAVITY balans sells for about $1200, we can expect the limited edition run to cost a bit higher than that.

um... how do you get onto the chair?
@hal It looks like the chair actually tilts forward. The two legs of the chair are bent upwards making it easy to just tilt the chair forward and making it easy to get into like a normal chair.
looks like coming back down would be hard on the floor. also looks like leg rest would get in the way of using it like a normal chair. meh.

This chair is soooo bad for watching tv. You’d go straight to sleep before the opening credits even start.
