Last ThanksGiving, we told you about the world’s most expensive white truffle that is actually a fungus related to the mushroom that grows underground fetched a price of $111,000 at an international auction in Italy. This year, the 3.3 pound Alba went for even heavier price tag of $160,406, the highest price ever paid for a fungus. And, the superrich buyers were a Hong Kong property tycoon and his wife who plans to eat it as part of a five-course banquet.
