The OMA Mini horn speakers pack up punch in a compact package
Nandini | Mar 11 2010

We have earlier told you about some of the luxurious horn-shaped speakers that are designed to enthrall the audiophiles with their acoustical quality as well as the design. The latest on the list of horn-shaped speakers is the OMA Mini, a compact, two-way horn-based speaker that delivers rich sonic quality in a small package (width 14″ x depth 14″ x height 57″). The Mini uses entirely professional components, as opposed to high end components in large speakers for a great performance, and bulletproof reliability and delivers an efficiency of approx. 95db/1w/1m, which means you can hook up just about any amplifier with the Mini. The Mini uses Oswald’s own proprietary horn cast from aluminum and is mounted on a woofer enclosure crafted in high quality birch ply or bamboo, in a non-resonant construction, to make sure you can place your speakers anywhere in the room. The horns and the Mini stands are constructed from solid .25 inch carbon steel, and powder coated in a variety of finishes, including black wrinkle, white semi gloss and aluminum anodized. You can mix and match stands and enclosures to your preference. The enclosures are available in dyed black birch, piano black, pickled white birch and bamboo in lacquer finish. No word on price is yet available on the site.
