Shell-shaped P38 Chair from Owen Edwards invites you to curl up like a fetus
Nandini | Oct 2 2009

This P38 Chair from Owen Edwards, a fresh furniture design graduate, is designed with the concept of escapism in mind. The rocker-shaped design invites you to curl up like a baby inside its ergonomic designed cushioned interiors. The shell-like exteriors have been sprayed with car quality white gloss paint and the interiors feature black leather upholstery. The base is a bent plywood form, and shaped by hand. Its flowing curves accentuate the sleek and luxury design and make it a perfect addition to any contemporary decor. This completely hand-crafted chair derives its name from P38 body filler which gives the chair its curvaceous form. As the chair is a one of a kind and purely hand crafted without the aid of computer aided machines, the chair adorns an outrageous price tag of $6,340. The chair will make its debut at the upcoming GrandDesignLive.

Thanks, Owen!
