Sharp corporation has developed the industry’s highest 1500:1 contrast ratio in-vehicle LCD. The in-vehicle LCD features a screen size of 8-inch and a viewing angle of 176 degree. The in-vehicle LCD system is highly vibration resistant and functions reliably over a broad range of temperatures. Apart from its high contrast ratio, this new LCD can display, among other things, the speedometer reading. And, when it is being parked, the LCD can provide the driver with a map or a video camera image of the area behind the vehicle.
