Panansonic has updated the hi-tech specs of its military Toughbook, with the updated one now featuring latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and brighter touchscreens to be used effectively in daylight. The fastest fully-rugged notebook PC sells for around $4000 for the 10.4″ screen Toughbook-19, and around $4500 for a fully-equipped Toughbook-30 that features a 13.3-inch screen.

But, if you are not planning to spend even that much for a new laptop, then we have got another rugged option for you, NEC’s ShieldPro waterproof laptop that can withstand as cold as 20 degrees Celsius, and can be dropped from a height of 90cm. The waterproof notebook, FC - N21S weighs a light 2.5Kg and it will retail for a mere $2,607, coming January.

My dad had bought this laptop but he not satisfied with the battery. The battery drain faster and need connection with the electric to recharge again after an hours.
