Pricey PCAs – Stylish hearing aids not meant for your grandma
Naveen | Aug 16 2007

We have seen so many sexy hearing aids before such as the gold-plated iCans and the Shure’s sound-isolating SE420 earbuds but, the Personal Communication Aids (PCAs) from the Phonak Group in Switzerland stand out from the crowd. The most interesting thing is that these hearing aids are so small that they are barely visible. They work works impressively when amplifying high-pitched sounds like consonants that are usually more difficult to hear. The PCAs are also claimed to cut down the background noise effectively. But, they are not cheap. The price tag of $1,500 to $3,500 a pair puts them out of reach for many.
