The super rich are still splurging on yachts and even those who have listed their yachts for sale have done so to replace it with a bigger one. Palmer Johnson, known for his iconic yacht designs, is up to commissioning an 82-meter (267-foot) eco-friendly vessel. This new superyacht “PJ World” designed by Italian designer Nuvolari-Lenard will be one from unique Ice Class series known for its style and powerful features to survive challenging conditions with a vengeance. PJ World uses the latest diesel-electric propulsion package from Rolls-Royce to achieve DNV “Clean Class” status, which also ensures peak performance, endurance, low ownership costs and greater operational flexibility. Besides the technical specs, the yacht is a luxury wonder with its six-deck design and is equipped with a certified Heli Deck, Heli hangar, an optional garage designed for a six man Discovery submarine and a superior Rolls-Royce at-rest stabilization system to keep it anchored environmentally sensitive or restricted areas without actual anchors. The luxury interiors include the owner’s apartment on the fourth, fifth and sixth decks composed of a bedroom suite, walk-in dressing room, separate business and private lounges, office and a Jacuzzi sundeck with 360 degree viewing.

Adding to the list of luxurious features are a fully equipped gym, spa with Hammam, sauna with treatment room, cinema, piano foyer and infirmary. Some of its features are much in tune with that of Roman Abramovich’s “Eclipse” yacht.

Besides, all the above luxuries, the yacht also distinguish itself from the other luxury yacht fleets with the novel aft beach house which looks forward onto an outdoor swimming pool deck. The crew is not ignored either, with a maximum crew of 27 can be accommodated according to the General Arrangement of single, double and triple berth cabins. Crew and staff living areas comprise a separate galley, mess two lounges and dedicated gymnasium. The yacht is fully guarded - security features include water cannons, forward scanning sonar, thermal imaging, closed circuit television and acoustic shields. The vessel can run with full hotel load at full speed on the main diesels without requiring generators - 13 knots on one main engine or at 6 knots on one auxiliary generator set.
