Who’d have guessed from the mere looks of this innovative metal and wood combination that it’s not a sculpture but a new speaker? That’s Fabio Ognibeni’s specialty to think of intricate details in the most simplest of things. Priced at $263,000, this speaker is manufactured by his company Opere Sonore from a system that reproduces the effect of Stradivarius vibrations, using the tree of the Fiemme Valley in Italy, which has straight, long and parallel fibers that makes the sound travel superbly. Known for the manufacturing of world-class soundboards, Opere Sonore will world premiere the speaker this weekend at the imperial palace Hofburg in Vienna at the salon Luxury, please.
