Milner Motors AirCar - Fold up the wings and drive it down the road

Yet another flying car is entering the rapidly crowded race. Super Sky Cycle, Moller’s M200G Volantor, Urban Aeronautics’ X-Hawk, PAL-V flying car, and the Terrafugia Transition flying car have already gone into production. The latest flying car concept to be officially unveiled later this month at the prestigious New York International Auto Show, is the Milner Motors AirCar. Developed by Jim Milner, the Aircar is a completely self-contained four door, four seat advanced-composite road-able aircraft (flying car) with foldable main wing in the rear of the vehicle and a canard in the front. It can take you to your destination via air route and when you are done, simply fold up the wings and drive it down the road. Weighing around 3,000 pounds, the Aircar is claimed to cruise at 200 mph for up to 1,000-miles. It gets its power from two rotary engines that drive dual 28-inch pusher ducted fans and a separate 40 horsepower engine. Well, the prototype they are going to display can’t fly. It’s just a showcase to let people know that the flight is feasible. The AirCar is expected to cost approximately $450,000.
