Macallan launches 57-year-old whiskey for the rich in taste
Pankaj | Sep 21 2009

Who other than Macallan would know this better that whiskey attains its maximum grace as it turns old. Macallan brings Lalique 57-year-old, third in a series of limited edition for those few enthusiastic scotch whiskey lovers who consider whiskey as an investment. It consists of two casks. The first cask is an American Oak sherry butt and the second cask is a Spanish Oak sherry butt. The total of 400 bottles (72 for the U.S.) is being bottled at 42.3%. and is priced at $15,000. There is something about aged whiskeys, apart from the grace, it’s probably the extraordinary smoothness but it’s definitely meant for the man with rich taste, and we always thought the best a man can get is a razor.
