Limited edition ornamented Leathermans cuts for $40,000
Deepa | Aug 4 2008

The blinged out version of the big daddy of multi-functional tool, Swiss Army Knife, now gets a companion or rather I must say competition form the bejeweled collection of the Leatherman. Exclusively lined up to commemorate Leatherman’s 25th Anniversary and designed by artist and silversmith Adrian Pallarols, the Argentum Collection boasts of seven pimped out miniature multi-tools. Top of the line is the Charge Dorado that is tagged at $40,000. Taking its name from Argentina’s golden “Tiger of the River”, this salmon-sized fighter with its iron jaws and sharp teeth is known to challenge anglers from around the world. The Dorado’s 18K gold handles features Adrian Pallarol’s artwork around Tim Leatherman’s signature.

Next in line is the Charge Acanto for $12,000. The acanthus leaves on the Acanto hearken to the classic architectural ornamentation seen in ancient cathedrals and palaces. The timeless look of the 18K gold and sterling silver handles mean this heirloom can be passed with pride from one generation to the next.
