Joel Hercek custom-built billiard cues sell for $20,000 apiece

We have earlier told you about the most expensive pool tables, but for the gentleman who is still vying to equip himself with the finest of billiards accessories available, Joel Hercek’s custom-built billiard cues are collectible stuff. The one-of-a-kind pieces are made from pre-ban elephant ivory and exotic hardwoods and are accentuated with precious metals and stones. The cues are articulated via a traditional 19th century method, which takes at least a year to complete. And only 30 such cues are created each year which explains the 10-year waiting list. A single cue will set you back for a whopping $20,000, so you’ve got to be really passionate about the game to splurge on a complete set.

Don’t think I like billiards enough to pay that kind of money!
