Founded in Florence by a group of radical young architects in 1966, Superstudio was known for its avant-garde thinking in architecture and design, especially the Quaderna tables with the distinctive grid pattern. Superstudio’s famous Quaderna tables are still in production by the Italian company Zanotta. At the Milan Furniture fair, Zanotta’s Trans-Forma exhibition, under the direction of Fabrica, showcased a unique creation - an iconic 1970 Quaderna console table transformed into a Dining Table Doccia (which means shower in Italian). The minimalist shower was shown to express clever re-imaginings of the company’s classics.
