Hyundai digital folding screen sports four LCDs, costs $70K

This new Hyundai invention has got to be the big brother of the digital picture frame. It’s basically a set of four interlinked LCD displays that you can put up in the middle of your rooms and use in place of the traditional room divider or screen as it is usually called. The folding screen, however, trumps the traditional variety as it can play images like a screensaver. The images Hyundai have showcased so far resemble ink-drawings with animated lily pads and rose petals. The best part of the animation, though, has to be the cranes that fly from one panel to the other in a long loop. It’s like going to a fairytale garden really. And the dreamy, outlandish quality of this digital folding screen extends to the price tag as well. If and when launched in the States, the screen is estimated to retail for around $70,000. Whoever thought it could ever cost 70 grand to watch a flying crane!
