Horology gets an automotive touch in limited edition timepieces
Pankaj | Oct 21 2009

In addition to designing cars, automotive designers Andy Shaw and Robert Silkstone have launched their first range of watches after two years of development. The debut models, Britannic and Vanguard-Precision, are inspired from the designers’ automotive background. The designers have used the intensive manufacturing techniques such as spark erosion and wire-EDM machining combined with laser engraving. Combining the automotive engineering methods and traditional industrial heritage of northern England in crafting the timepieces, the designers have decided to strictly limit the production to 15 units each.
