Veronica | Dec 14 2005

Want to go a step higher and employ a robot to serve tea instead of a pageboy, then get yourself Asimo, the new walking, childlike robot from Honda Motor Co. With this robot capable of replicating human movement, Honda has added to his humanoid robots. The 51-inch talk, bubble headed robot can also jog, walk-up-stairs, wave, avoid obstacles and carry on simple conversations. The new improved version of Asimo robot is equipped with a sensor that can read microchips in identification card and so can identify any presence nearby! The robot demonstrated all the activites it can perform including pushing a four-wheeled cart. The robot is available at lease for an astounding price of $170,000.
