Honda takes to the skies with HondaJet

After conquering the land and water transport, Honda is all set to rule the skies too. Usher in the Honda Jet, which has finally made it to commercial production, nearly a decade after designer Michimasa Fujino first sketched the innovative over-the-wing engined jet. Now,that is some news for the super rich to do some continent hopping. Weighing in under 10000 pounds, this jet is positioned in the very light jet category and can ferry upto 8 passengers in comfort. What’s more, The entire cabin can be customised to make the jet into a mobile office in the air or if you so like, a flying lounge 40000 feet above the air. For, all that continent hopping, the Jet needs to be fuel efficient and very aerodynamic to have a long range. Honda has done just that with the revolutionary design of the Honda Jet, which has a highly fuel efficient over-the-wing engine and an innovative new aerodynamic shape to give the Honda Jet, the best in class range and fuel efficiency.

But, what you won’t notice is the extensive use of carbon fibre to make the jet very strong and extremely light. The space age cabin of the honda jet looks very chic and comfortable than all the jets available now. And what is functionality without style, the Honda Jet looks very bling with in blue and white garb with it’s sculpted curvy airframe and is all set to please the eyes too. Be it for business or pleasure, Honda has produced one hell of a slick flying machine which will be gobbled up by the jetsetters. Ofcourse, a jetsetting lifestyle comes with it’s own price. The Honda Jet which will set you back by a whopping 3.65 million dollars for the base version. First deliveries to customers are expected to be made in 2010.
