Hitler's Mercedes bought by Russian billionaire for $8 million
Pankaj | Nov 24 2009

An original Mercedes, once part of a fleet used by the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in his travels across Europe during the Second World War, was sold to an anonymous Russian billionaire for $8 million. Yes, owned by Hitler, who despite his innumerable faults had in fact great taste in cars. The midnight blue 770 K model car traveled the world, first to Austria, then to a car museum in Las Vegas, then to a brewery tycoon in Munich, and finally was locked away in a collector’s garage in Bielefeld. The painstaking two-month search to locate the Mercedes belonging to Hitler has finally fetched the buyer a worth for parking a piece from history in his garage.

Antique or vintage cars, especially those well maintained, are liked by all. A vintage car that has a history behind it is something that car lovers would love to own.
