I was never so serious about the Haier machines until I came across their new laptop/tablet PC hybrid. The new laptop / tablet PC puts many others to shame when it comes to pricing. The beast rocks an Intel Core Duo U2500 processor, an Intel 945GM chipset, 2GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, WiFi connectivity (Sorry...no 802.11n), a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8.6-inch widescreen tablet display. You can use it as a laptop at the desk or as a tablet by folding down the screen. The most exceptional thing about this tablet PC hybrid is its stocky price tag of $4,790. But, how the hell Haier is going to justify the price?
