Gorenje unveils new generation of kitchen appliances at IFA 2009
Nandini | Sep 9 2009

Gorenje grabbed the spotlight at IFA last year with its iPod fridge in collaboration with Apple and this European appliance manufacturer has gone all out this time as well, with its collection designed by Karim Rashid called “The Touch Of Light.” The collection feature on the appliances is a full length handle or strip that is backlit with colored LEDs so you can customize the color of your oven or refrigerator exterior as per your desire. Besides this glam kitchen collection, Gorenje has also introduced a hi-tech collection called “Touch of the Future” integrating the Microsoft Surface application into its appliances including GorenjeOven, which enables control of the oven from a remote location, making cooking easy and fun.

“Several users can control the application in a modern and interactive manner at the same time: on the one side, we may browse through recipes, on the other side, we can monitor oven temperature or simply choose the music to match the ambiance,” commented Mr. Saso Vinkovic of the Intelligent Home Development Department at Gorenje Point. Also, check out the special edition of its SmarTable in trendy purple calling for fashionistas.
