Gold coins sewed into million-dollar outfits

We have already seen some exceptional, expensive jewel-studded outfits. Now, at the Bunka Fashion college student’s fashion show in Tokyo, models graced the ramp wearing outfits laden with gold coins. They were decked out in more than 1,500 Austrian gold coins. The coins were valued at more than $1.2 million and there were three pieces of garb, a full-length dress weighing 10 kg (22 pounds) and two jackets weighing up to 21 kg (46 pounds). The dresses were so heavy that one of the models was weighed down with the load of his outfit, a 15 kg jacket, which was promptly taken off. If such gold coined dresses make it to the streets, thieves are going to have good time, stealing the coins one by one.
