Every now and then, we are coming across beautifully and artistically designed luxury speakers. The latest in the long list is German Physiks’ new Loreley Mk II loudspeaker that somehow looks to be from the alien world. The Loreley is inspired from the company’s top-of-the-line Gaudi and it using four of the same proprietary DDD “Bending wave” drivers in a line source array. The woofer section features four 10″ passive radiators and two 12″ inverted dome subwoofers.
The company is claiming their one-of-its-kind dome woofer design to allow for bass response similar to conventional 18″ drivers with less distortion and swift transient response. The beast weighs 925 pounds and comes in three versions. You will have to shell $165,995 for the venner finish, $179,995 for the high-polish veneer finish, and a whopping $199,995 for carbon finish.
