Follo washbasin allows the water to flow with modesty
Deepa | Aug 11 2008

Breaking rules and forms has been the mantra of success in the designing field. But here’s one modern basin that has simply straightened out to create ripples in the world of bathroom décor. Being the first bathroom product by designer Will MacCormac, it certainly scores over the run-of-the-mill bowl shapes for its debut design. Christened as Follo, the designer dedicates his creation to his childhood obsession with water. Exclusively handcrafted, it features shallow grooves to reduce standing water. Also since the basin extends in to flat sides, one can place their toiletries on the sides which in turn are easy to wipe clean. The free-flow design incorporates a generous bowl area to reduce splash, combining with a unique integrated drainage system within a slimline unit that measures less than 7cm in height.

Crafted out of Cristalplant, the most sought after material for luxurious bathroom décor, this basin is sturdier than it seems. Aptly designed to be fixed as a counter top or wall mounted, the first edition of Follo will make splash in classic white (my favorite). Available in an array of sizes and configurations, it will be available as a wall hung system before the end of 2008.

We certainly hope to see more of such nifty bathroom designs in the near future.

Wow! washbasins with such elegant looks...its in fact looking like a piece of art!

like the design. My wife is Indian and typically in an Indian house you have a wash basin in a location close to the dining room to wash before and after eating (we eat with our hands). This would be perfect for this location as there is no need for standing water.

A very neat looking basin. Stylish yet simple.
