Designed to warm you up on a gloomy, cold day, this electric fireplace from Lian is a smart combination of a fireplace and speakers. Showcased during the Hong Kong Electric Fair 2009, the electric fireplace delivers the sound of burning firewood, with the help of a built-in speaker in the back side. That’s really cool to heat things up for a romantic evening, but it could have been great it offered support for the iPod or other audio players. Personally, I would love to go for the CalSpas FRP4300 fireplace that features a built-in iPod station and speakers. There is no word on pricing for the Lian electric fireplace, and the TV-like design looks kinda boring.
