Egyptian Cobra hired to guard $120,000 Sandals
Naveen | Sep 11 2007

Harrods of London recently hired an Egyptian cobra to guard a pair of ruby, sapphire, and diamond-encrusted Rene Caovilla sandals. Although it seems a mere idiocy to me to hire a poisonous snake to guard a pair of shoes, I am pretty sure that the photographers had a good time clicking again and again. Cobra is not the issue for us but the Rene Caovilla sandals priced at US $120,000. These sandals have an elegant cobra design with eyes made of rubies. Anyway, the snake has been now returned to its owner so, you can fearlessly take a round at the shoe counter. Check out the video here.
