Pankaj | Dec 2 2009

After being fined by the South Korean tax authorities for about $154 million for illegal dealings with unlicensed wholesalers in 2007, Diageo, the world’s biggest drinks group, has set the price of South Korea’s most expensive whisky at $257,870 per bottle to mark the brand’s launch on the global market. With the help of its Britain-based parent company, Diageo Korea produced 12 bottles of the “Windsor Diamond Jubilee” in Scotland. Each 700-milliliter bottle of the Windsor Diamond Jubilee contains 17.5 servings, worth over $14,000 each.
