At the first glance, I thought it to be some nice Photoshop edit. Well, it’s actually a fully functioning barbeque. The dragon-shaped welded steel BBQ grill and smoker has been dubbed “Guardian of the Beast” by the maker, Ed McBride. The awesome grill has already been sold for a whopping $65,000 at the Safari Club International 33rd Annual Hunters’ Convention. The other two models in the Dragon series are coming soon. The first one is 9 feet in height and features a powerful 10 feet wide wingspan. A tiny dragon is positioned below and heats a Dutch cooking oven with its smoldering dragon breath. Priced at US $90,000, this breathtaking barbecue will be premiering at the SCI convention in Reno, Nevada in January.
The second one is a small unit and is set to be completed in late 2007. At a reasonable 6 feet in height and length, it will be easily displayed in a variety of settings. The small dragon barbecue will carry a price tag of $40,000. Anyway, I hope you still remember the 57-foot long barbeque train from David Close.
