Dinosaur Dung Watch sees the art of timekeeping in a different light

Yvan Arpa, the ex-chief executive of Geneva-based Romain Jerome, known for its distinct timepieces, seems to have taken his inspiration from his former association with Romain Jerome to design unusual timepieces made with rare materials in a bid to appeal to watch collectors. Vesenaz, Switzerland-based company Artya has designed this luxury watch with its face made from fossilized dinosaur dung and the strap is made from an American cane toad. The watch adorns an $11,290 price tag. But if this is what appeals to your horological taste, may we also suggest the Louis Moinet Jurassic Tourbillon, that contains fragments of authentic fossilized dinosaur bones around 130 million years old, merged with the allure of diamonds. The watch will be featured at Basel in Switzerland this month.
