Frank Vassallo IV of Wilmington, Delaware proves the length at which people will go for their cars, shelling out a total of $675,000 for the number 6 license plate, and was admittedly prepared to spend up to a million bucks for the solo number plate. When asked why he wanted number 6 so bad, Vassallo said “It’s a family thing.” The Vassallo family also owns Delaware plates 9, for which they paid $185k at auction in 1993, and number 27.
