I love to gaze at the sand cascading down from the top of the hour glass and can go on and on by turning it upside down. This age-old concept of keeping a tab on time hasn’t faded with time. In fact with the changing times, the application of hour glass has also progressed innovatively. And the best exemplar is the latest buzz about the BMW hour glass. It was the highlight of the BMW’s “Never Stand Still” newest marketing gimmick for the European launch of the latest model of BMW 7 series. At the Red Square, for two days, the 7-Series was hidden in 180,000 silver balls that filled a giant glass-and-acrylic hourglass almost 40 feet tall. Then on the d-day, in front of 400 invited guests the top of the hourglass emptied to reveal the car.
It took nine days to build this largest steel hourglass and BMW officials say the stunt was meant to illustrate the event’s tagline, “Never stand still.”
A fantastic, outstanding, dazzling marketing stunt I must say!

That was very innovative idea... must have been a grand launch.
Have always liked BMWs and recently fell in love with it. A friend of mine is buying one and we were discussing his car.... truly awesome... the luxury and the features are simply out of this world. And the attention to details and safety is mind blowing.
someday ........... :)
