Caterham RS Seven doubles Bugatti Veyron’s Power-to-Weight ratio

Here is some great news for those who want an expression of British sportscar exclusivity. Caterham Motors, well known name in the racing world, has joined forces with RS Performance to create the new Caterham RS Seven, the ultimate in bespoke Seven coachbuilding. The RS Seven looks quite similar to other vehicles designed by Caterham, but stands tall when we come to specifications. The bug killer has a 500+ horsepower concealed under the hood. The roadster gets its juice from a 40-valve, 2.4 litre RST-V8 engine that delivers an over 500bhp as a supercharged variant. Well, if that’s more than enough for you, there is the option of removing the supercharger that will bring the numbers down to a modest 380 hp and 190 ft/lbs of torque. The lightweight Seven chassis delivers a power-to-weight ratio of over 1000bhp per tonne, which is more than double of a Bugatti Veyron. The 1150lbs racing beast can be yours for £115,000 ($230,000).
