Car from Czechoslovakia, Tatra T87 up for auction
Pankaj | Oct 27 2009

Streamlining has been an intrinsic automotive design feature almost since day one, but the 1940 Tatra T87 sedan was one of the cars that redefined streamlining. The streamlined car from Czechoslovakia will be auctioned at Wright’s upcoming Important Design. Smooth bodylines flowing up and around a gracefully curved canopy with fighter jet-style air intake ports at the rear had set trends to become a popular international styling fashion spanning the decades. This truly bold design statement foreshadows even the cars of today, and lovers of high-quality designing will revere it for decades to come.
