Beautifully-designed Sony's Rolly dances to the music
Naveen | Sep 10 2007

The egg-like robotic music dock from Sony dubbed Rolly is finally here. Rightly named so (thanks to the design), the Rolly SEP-10BT “Sound Entertainment Player’ is a kind of wireless audio player with 1GB of internal memory. Rolly is not exactly a robot but, it dances to MP3, ATRAC, or AAC tunes via either Bluetooth with A2DP / AVRCP or its 1GB of internal memory. A full charge offers you five hours of music and four hours of dance and music. You can also make your own Rolly moves on your computer, thanks to the available software. Sony Rolly will start dancing in Japan September 29th onwards and will set you back ¥40,000 (around US $350). Carrying case and charging cradle will be sold separately for $17.50 and $35 respectively. Check out some more pics and video.
