Remember the ambitious all-bamboo EcoBook notebook concept that Asus came up with a while back? Well, apparently, top execs at the firm weren’t all that keen on having a notebook that can warp or even go up in flames after a neck-breaking working weekend. So they came up with a sleeker and safer alternative that still vibrates eco-friendliness. Almost. Sort of. The new Asus U6 features a handy 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo T7700 Processor with 1GB RAM and some very “tashani” (which roughly translated means superbly show-off worthy ) bamboo trimmings that are simple heavenly in their au-natural appeal and soothing glossy finish. I’m just not sure I would wanna cough up $2000 for a half-bamboo novelty though.
