Arizona Vintage Motor Cars Auction 2006

The Detroit Auto Show unveiled various concept cars and new models that will be launched in 2006. But, if you are an auto-lover then you must be left with a craving for vintage cars! Then, pack your bags for Arizona! A vintage cars auction will be held in Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa at Arizona from January 20, 2006.



The highly anticipated auction will offer 115 of the most select motor cars in the world including 1958 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, 1928 Ford Model T “Burning Desire” Hot Rod that is estimated to sell for $40,000 - $60,000 and features 250hp 1940 Mercury V8 engine, black leather interior, engine turned dash, full complement of gauges and vintage steering wheel. The car is the National first prize winner at the Antique Automobile Club of America National Meet in 2002 and is still exceptional, 1961 Chrysler 300G Coupe estimated for $50,000 to $70,000 featuring 375bhp 413 cu. in. wedge head V8, three-speed torqueflite automatic transmission, independent front suspension with torsion bars and a live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs and four-wheel power-assisted drum brakes. The G Coupe of the 300 Series represents the last of the great letter series cars and is one of the most collectable cars of the 1960s.



The auction will also feature 1948 Morgan 4/4 Roadster, England’s most charismatic sports car,1964 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Coupe, 1964 Pontiac GTO Coupe, and 1963 Porsche 356B Super Cabriolet, 1965 BMW 3200 CS Coupe and 1950 Harley-Davidson Panhead Motorcycle that is an original hand-shift model, with the standard bicycle type kick-start pedal.



The highlight of the auction will be 1930 Cord L29 Five Passenger Sedan that was formerly the property of Brooks Stevens. The car features eight-cylinder engine, front wheel drive, three-speed transmission with a wheelbase of 137.5″. The luxury sedan is estimated to shell in somewhere from $150,000 to $200,000, 1935 Packard Twelve 2/4P Coupe that includes 175bhp, 473 cu. in. side valve, twelve-cylinder engine. The car is considered to be the finest automobiles ever produced by the Packard Motor Car Company and is estimated to sell for $100,000 to $125,000, 1913 American Underslung Type 34A Tourist Touring that featured in William F. Harrah and William Haines Collections, 1931 Cadillac V16 Sport Phaeton, 1938 Bugatti T57C Aravis Drophead Coupe, 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Coupe and Commander John Rutherford’s C-Type 1953 Jaguar C-Type Sports Racing Car that is estimated to sell for $1,450,000 to $1,750,000.
