To add to the mental torment of singletons, designer Alex Bradley has developed a prototype for a compact cooker that combines a chopping board, utensils, and a Wi-Fi-enabled screen that helps users look up recipes on the internet. though Bradley intends to promote the product as a way to let bachelors and people living alone prepare healthier meals, we really think bringing home one of these Single Person Cookers (SPC) would be more like announcing to your mother, hence everybody you know, that you have officially given up on trying to find love. The design however, made it to the list of 31finalists in the Concept Products competition organized by the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show, which takes place at Earls Court in London from 14 March to 6 April which is an impressive detail on its resume apart from the fact that the cooker intends to maximize space utility in bijou modern apartments. But, will that stop your dear old ma from lamenting your single hood to all and sundry with special emphasis on the fact that you have now even brought one of the single cookers? That’s the million dollar question.
