If you are one of the ardent Elvis Presley fans, here is a chance to own a piece from the personal collection of the rock ‘n’ roll king. A new collection of Elvis memorabilia, including more than 200 items, is going up for auction this Sunday at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago, and it includes a clump of Elvis Presley’s hair. The clump of hair was given to Gary Pepper as president of the Tankers Fan Club to pass it on to Elvis fans. The rock legend’s locks were taken off back in 1958 when he prepared for Army service. Now, the same clump of hair is up for auction, with an estimated sale price of between $8,000 and $12,000. Celebrity hair expert John Reznikoff is stating that the strands look to be those of the King. Other than the Elvis Presley’s hair, other items in the memorabilia include an Elvis Presley Pez dispenser, dolls and clothes.
