H.R. Giger's Harkonnen Chairs - Buttwarmers with outrageous price and looks
Jayaprashanth | May 15 2008

Movie set designer Hans Rudi Giger created the Harkonnen Chairs originally meant for a Hollywood flick based on the Dunes. But the movie in which this chair was to be featured never got made. So, abandoning the full lineup, Giger decided to make Harkonnen Chair for the swish set who could actually afford his outrageous prices. This spooky chair (available in the regular, black color) basically is a hand made fiberglass item that has an exposed backbone for a backrest. Bearing quite an asymmetric design and sculpted profile, the chair takes after widely covered ghostly Alien Furniture. To give it the air of absolute exclusivity, you need to wait for all of two months from the date of order to get your butt atop this buttwarmer.

To buy one, you need plenty of dough, $15000 to be precise. On the anvil are three skulled versions of this chair that will set you back by $30000 for the fiberglass version and a whopping $45000 for the aluminium version. After looking at these outrageous buttwarmers, crazy sounds like a very mild word. For more pics, scroll down to the image gallery pinned below.

These chairs would sooo good with MIB-themed decor or maybe even a basement filled with AvP memorabilia!!! Definitely not something you wanna leave uncovered while the kids are awake!!
