Vintage cars have a certain charm about them, a charm that can’t easily be replicated. So it mustn’t be a surprise if people spent insane amounts of money on aged beauties, which sometimes have a history more glorious than yours. The beautiful 1964 Porsche 904 GTS sports racing coupé was a limited edition car and only 100 were manufactured. These cars were manufactured during Goodwood Revival classic car meet and owning this could catapult the buyer to a celebrity status.
The elegant car is being auctioned off by Bonhams, and they almost always have awesome stuff being auctioned off. The 1964 Porsche 904 GTS is part of an awesome and elegant collection owned by celebrity racecar driver Bernard Consten, a five-times Tour de France winner. The car is expected to fetch at least $715,000 to $1 million. If that doesn’t get to your hands, Bonhams is also auctioning off 1965 Alfa Romeo TZ1 and is expected to fetch $430,000 to $500,000. Vintage cars can be insightful and teach us a lot about modern history. And with cars like the 1964 Porsche 904 GTS, one needs no modern historians.
Nice car!
Sigh...
Nice car. I really like the shape of this car. When you ride it you will feel like you are in a race car.
