We have earlier told you about the world’s most expensive pizza that is sprinkled with edible 24-carat gold shavings, priced for more than $3700. Now, comes a $1,000 pizza that is though not sprinkled with gold toppings, but is worth a mention! The $1,000 pizza is topped with creme fraiche, chives, eight ounces of four different kinds of Petrossian caviar, four ounces of thinly sliced Maine lobster tail, salmon roe, and a little bit of spice with wasabi. The pizza will be added to the menu at “Nino’s Bellisima,” one of the Manhattan restauranteur Selimaj’s six restaurants in the city. The 12-inch pie is sliced into four pieces, which comes to $250 per slice, in case you just want to taste it!

I think its wonderful that pizza chefs are trying harder to promote their trade, up-selling the humble pie.
I created ’Pizza Royale’, selling on Ebay for charity at £2150.00/ over $4,000 !
It was great for business at my restaurant, Bella Napoli in Glasgow,UK.
Well done to Selimaj.
